Questions & Answers
(Original) I didn't get a clear answer on the Lodge utilities (gas and electric). I know there's a stipend. Is it usually enough to cover the monthly expenses and if not, what percentage of the cost does it cover?
(Original) From the lease "Resident will pay as additional Rent a pro-rata share (based on the number of contracted residents in possession for the applicable period) for the apartment’s usage of electricity and gas, applied pro-rata to any partial billing cycle, subject to a monthly credit calculated as follows: $70.00 per month for a one bedroom apartment, $45.00 per month per resident for a two bedroom apartment, $35.00 per month per resident for a four bedroom townhome and $30.00 per month per resident for a five bedroom cottage. Resident will be responsible for arranging and paying for ... his or her pro-rata share of electricity and gas charges during the term of this Agreement, regardless of actual date of move-in or move-out. No refund or credit will be provided for usage below the applicable allowance level, if any." There's also a one-time $72 charge for administration. For me, the winter months definitely went over by ~$30-50 but summer typically was covered by the stipend.

(Original) What exactly are the pet restrictions?
I enjoyed my stay here! They’re pet friendly (my dog loved it!) and they have great staff members. I’ve sent in multiple maintenance requests and they usually resolve it within the next business day. They host monthly activites and provide complimentary snacks throughout the year! It’s quiet and clean. The benefit of the town home styles is not having to evacuate everyone on The Lodge complex if a fire alarm goes off, only those living in that town house. Overall, it was a nice place to live and I’d recommend it others!

Hands down best place to live amongst the RIT area. The price is not bad at all, and if you are able to get a discount too, it's even more affordable. Every employee was kind and supporting, as well as maintenance and such. The roads are maintained and salted. The exterior and interior for the apartments are pleasant. Amenities are available. The gym is small but definitely enough. The pool isn't used often for it is never warm in upstate New York, but when it is, it is nice and clean. The clubhouse is vibrant and relates to the theme. There are study rooms, apple computers as well as a printer for us to use. Parking and garbage disposal is no problem at all. Overall, great community. This is coming from someone who isn't biased but picky with where they live.
